Capitalism ultimately relies on gaining capital (money, property, investments). My understanding is capitalism in religion results in the institution amassing capital to the detriment of their congregation or devotees.
Socialism ultimately relies on the collective owning the produce. I believe this would lead to the institution helping the lower producers to become better.
